Responsibilities
The Investigations Division is responsible for the investigation of actual or suspected criminal activity, care and appropriation disposition of confiscated property, property and evidence management, follow-up investigation, crime scene search and service of arrest warrants. The Investigations Division is currently staffed with two investigators. The division is responsible for internal affairs investigations and reports to Assistant Chief of Police. They are responsible for Special Investigations to include:
- Drugs
- Intelligence
- Juvenile
- Organized Crimes
- Vice
The division oversees for the victim/witness program, Sex-Offender Program and Violent Offender Program. The division is responsible for overseeing the Community Relations Functions.
