Training Division
Responsibilities
The Bixby Police Department Training Division fills many roles within the agency. The overarching mission of the Training Division is to ensure that all personnel receive the highest quality training available and to ensure compliance with State-mandated training requirements as promulgated by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET). The Bixby Police Department training standards exceed those mandated by CLEET. All Bixby Police Officers are required to complete 40 hours of in-service training each year, as well as 8-hours of in-service firearms training (in addition to quarterly qualifications). The Training Division assures that all personnel remain in compliance with training policies and procedures.
