An Animal Control Officer will be dispatched to your location to complete an animal bite report.
The animal is impounded and observed, or sent to the lab for rabies virus testing. It will be impounded at our facility or it may be impounded at an approved veterinary hospital at the owner’s expense.

In the case of an un-vaccinated animal bites a person, it must be quarantined at a veterinarian at your expense. In the case of an un-vaccinated animal is bitten by a confirmed rabid animal, the bitten animal must be quarantined at a veterinarian for four to six months at owners expense (State Law) or euthanized.
